It can be useful for branding purposes and because it gets your name out in front of people who may send you clients. Forum links are not spam but they do not count for much as far as quality is concerned.

Is it useful to get links from webmaster forums for a web design company website? or it will count like spam links?

Imagine for a moment the local language site is in English, would you want a link from it? Will the link be useful for the users of the local language site? If the answer to both these questions is a definite yes, then the link will useful to you and you should obtain it if you can.

If the have AdSense ads on them these are probably ’scraper sites’. These are sites that copy content from one or more existing websites and redisplay it as there own in the hope of making a few cents from PPC ads. Scraper sites are generated by software and often have millions of pages but have no value as far as links are concerned.

When i analyse my competitors backlinks, they have some backlinks from sites like “keyword.com/keyword-pharase/keywoword-phrase.html”. They have few links compared to other competitors. keywords in urls of backlinks also help to get good ranking? huh? Linking sites have no page rank at all. But there is also no way to contact them. i found no information on home page or anywhere else. It seems i have to giveup my seo practice. can you help with this?
